Micah Runner, Rancho Cordova Deputy City Manager

On today's episode we speak to Deputy City Manager, Micah Runner. 

 

Micah has over 18 years of experience in municipal government with a primary focus in economic development and management. He previously served as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Stockton where he was responsible for economic development, housing and homeless, real property, venue management, and parking operations where oversaw a team of 20 employees.

During our wide ranging conversation, we find out that Micah grew up in the world of politics as his father was a city council member in the city of Lancaster, CA and went on to become a State Senator and his mother worked in the California State Assembly so it's not surprising Micah has worked in local government since leaving college. 

Prior to the City of Stockton, Micah was the Economic Development Manager for the City of Rancho Cordova, and a Senior Project Manager for the City of Sacramento.
